Chelsea head-coach Frank Lampard has revealed that he wants to add several fresh faces to his team.
Despite having a two-window transfer ban halved before the winter transfer window, the West London club failed to make any new players at the midway point of the season.
However, at a time when the Blues are being rumoured with the likes of Timo Werner and Philippe Coutinho, Lampard has acknowledged that he intends to make addition before the start of the next campaign.
Speaking to the club’s magazine, the Englishman said: “I’m certainly excited about the squad we’ve got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need.
“We didn’t bring in anyone in January, it didn’t work out to be right for us at the time, and last summer we couldn’t bring anyone in, so those windows are gone and we haven’t changed.
“So I am excited about the squad we’ve got, if we can freshen up in the right areas we all know that.”
As it stands, Chelsea boss will need to find replacements for Pedro and Willian who are both out of the current deal at the end of the 2019/20 season.
