RB Leipzig’s centre-back Ibrahima Konate is reportedly unhappy at his current team amid reports that Liverpool could securing the services of the Frenhcman during this summer’s transfer window.

The Merseyside Reds are believed to have identified the 21-year-old defender as a possible signing in the upcoming transfer window, although Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche recently rubbished rumours about possible switch to Anfield this summer.

According to Sky Deutschland, Konate is dissatisfied with his playing time at the Red Bull Arena, having been benched on a number of time by head coach Julian Nagelsmann this season and many thought that they are preparing a life without him for the next season.

The 21-year-old defender was absent for the whole of January due to an ankle problem, however, he has been in the squad for his side’s last seven Bundesliga games.

Konate has only featured on three times during that period, though, and has not played the full 90 minutes for German outfits in the league since the start of the December.

Liverpool’s direct Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal also thought to have interest in 21-year-old French defender who is likely to be on his way out from Red Bull Arena.
