Liverpool are reportedly working on a deal already to land Fulham sensation Fabio Carvalho after getting the green light from the main scout Barry Hunter.
He was in attendance at Craven Cottage last week to watch the 19-year-old prodigy score in his side’s 6-2 demolition of Bristol City.
Football Insider reports the Reds are keen to steal a march on their domestic rivals by setting up a rumoured deal in the coming months to snap up the winger when his contract at the Cottagers expires in the summer.
He’ll be a free agent but it won’t be a free transfer as the west London outfit will be due to a significant compensation sum for development costs.
But the Reds are not willing to wait until the summer to lay the foundations for a reported move and have already asked for information about the possible structure of the deal.
Barry is said to have been hugely impressed by the youngster and he has sanctioned a swoop for the Portuguese-born England youth international.
After a toe issue and coronavirus, he has returned to top form in the latest weeks during an astonishing run of results at the club.
Fulham have hit 19 goals in their last three games and Carvalho has netted three times in the last two of them.
