Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has tipped Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount to become one of the best players in the world.
England international midfielder has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Stamford Bridge this season, establishing himself as a first-team star in Frank Lampard’s squad with founding back of the net six times and provided five assists in 29 Premier League games.
The 21-year-old has also played in all of the Blues Champions League games in 2019-20 season, and six-time Ballon d’Or owner Lionel Messi admits that he has been impressed with the West London club’s starlet and tipped to reach him success in the future.
“Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best,” Argentine superstar said when asked to assess Mount as part of a partnership with football card company Topps.
English playmaker spent last campaign playing under Frank Lampard on loan at Derby County, where he has managed to found back of the net 11 times across all competitions.
Chelsea have been handed transfer ban earlier last summer and young players like Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and James had a chance to establish themselves as regular first-team players at Stamford Bridge and if we can believed Messi, the Blues playmaker has a bright future.
