Mikel Arteta says he’s ‘really happy’ with the way in Gabriel Jesus has settled with his new teammates after the Brazilian managed to found back of the net third times in two appearances for the Gunners following his £45million arrival from Man City.

Jesus was on the scoresheet as the North London giants beat Everton 2-0 in Maryland on Saturday night and he had a hand in setting up Saka for his effort.

The Brazilian has found back of the net twice on his debut last week and he’s already looking an astute purchase.

The Gunners boss was already fully aware of Brazilian forward’s quality having worked with him at Man City, however, the his all-round game has progressed since the Spaniard’s exit.

And Arteta admits he’s been delighted with the way in which Jesus has settled into his new surroundings, saying he ‘loves’ the Brazilian’s attitude and the way he ‘creates chaos’.

‘He looks really sharp, really dynamic. (He’s got) a really good understanding with his team-mates straight away,’ said Arteta.

‘They are looking for him, he’s generating chances, good connections around specific spaces we want to exploit with him especially, and yeah, we’re really happy.

‘He creates chaos, he creates uncertainty and he’s always on your shoulder. He’s always there to nick the ball off you, he’s always in front of the goal. He’s a real threat and this is what we need. And then he’s the one.
