Injury Boost: Prolific Liverpool midfielder set to return to Liverpool within weeks

Diogo Jota is reportedly set to make a return to training with Premier League giants Liverpool this week in a massive fitness boost for Jurgen Klopp.

The Portugal international made a stunning start to his Merseyside Reds career before being struck down following to a knee injury in early December.

Jota, who has 9 goals in 17 games since arriving from Wolves, had been in a leg brace until the end of last month.

According to the Daily Mail, however, the 24-year-old attacker has made good strides in recent weeks and has cleared every hurdle so far put in front of him.

The next step for former Wolves forward is a return to full training on Wednesday, it is reported, and he could then be in line to make his return to first-team football as early as Sunday’s trip to Sheffield United.

The Merseyside reds have been hampered by a series of injuries to vital players this term, with the likes of Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, James Milner and Joe Gomez are all on the sidelines.

And now the Merseyside Reds skipper Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for several weeks due to knee injury.
