Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has revealed that he’s on his way back to full recovery after suffering an injury during United’s pre-season tour in the United States.
The Spain international hurt his hip in the penalty shootout win over UCL winners Real Madrid, but played 45 minutes in a 3-0 victory over Valerenga last Sunday.
Ander Herrera now insists he’s ready for more minutes and is already looking ahead to Man United’s UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid.
During his interview, the 27-year-old Spaniard said: ‘I’m good. It was okay because [the knock] was not so painful, just a kick on my hip.
‘The first two days I was really bad but now I’m better again and feel that I can play more than 45 minutes. I’m happy, but now we have to be ready for the UEFA Super Cup, which is another title to fight for.
‘I know we have to improve in the Premier League, but we were the only team to win three pieces of silverware last season so we have to say that as well.
‘In the Premier League we have to improve, we want to fight for the title, but we know it’s not going to be easy to repeat the three titles.’
UCL winners Rela Madrid and Europa League champions Man United go toe-to-toe for the UEFA Super Cup on August 8.
