MLS outfits Inter Miami have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Arsenal playmaker Willian.
Citing a preference to stay in London after departing Chelsea, Willian penned a three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium last summer.
However, the 32-year-old endured a hugely disappointing first season with the Gunners, contributing just one goal and seven assists in 34 Premier League and Europa League fixtures.
According to The Sun, South American forward is now open to making the switch to MLS to play for David Beckham’s team, Inter Miami.
The report suggests that Inter head coach Phil Neville wants to conclude the signing as soon as possible, providing that he can sell high earner Rodolfo Pizarro.
Having missed out on the Champions League for a fourth season in succession, Arsenal will almost certainly want to reduce their wage bill by allowing the midfielder to leave the team.
Meanwhile, Arsenal-linked Nabil Fekir has revealed he is happy at the La Liga club Real Betis and he’s not concerned about future plans as his only focus is on helping his side clinch a European spot finish in the league this season.
The Gunners are interested in adding a number 10 to their ranks this summer and are keen on making Real Madrid-owned youngster Martin Odegaard’s move permanent.
However, the Norwegian is less likely to stay at Arsenal beyond his current stint and the club are considering other possible targets, including Real Betis midfielder Fekir.
