Serie A giants AS Roma are reportedly ready to make a new offer to secure the services of Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling permanently.

The Red Devils allowed Smalling to move to Stadio Olimpico on a one-year loan spell during the summer, and the Englishman has responded with a series of impressive form.

While Italian giants have no option to push through a full-time transfer, Roma have continually been rumoured with making a further approach to the Red Devils.

According to Il Romanista, Serie A giants are prepared to make a £13m bid for the 30-year-old, who effectively has over three-and-a-half years left on his current deal at Old Trafford.

Smalling is believed to want a deal wrapped up as soon as possible, while it has been reported that he is undergoing extensive Italian lessons in preparation for a lengthy stay in Italy.

Manchester United another star Marcos Rojo has been also linked with an exit from Old Trafford when the transfer window will be re-opened in January as Argentina international defender is keen on to play regular first-team football.

Serie A giants AC Milan are believed to be interested in the signing of Marcos Rojo, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on to keep experienced defender at the club.
