Italian giants set to renew interest in out-of-favour Chelsea playmaker

AC Milan are considering reigniting their interest in Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who report the Italian side could be keen on signing the Chelsea flop for a second time.

The website explains that there has been a day of meetings at Casa Milan, and after they purchased Fikayo Tomori on a permanent basis, attention has now turned to other areas.

They want another defender and midfielder, and an interesting meeting was held between representatives of the agency that represents Tiemoue Bakayoko, Lovro Majer and Jonathan Ikone.

Blues man was already close to a return to I Rossoneri in the past, and the player has been the subject of in-depth discussions once again.

His contract at Chelsea expires in 2022, and the club would prefer to sell him permanently, according to CM.it’s information.

In spite of having just a year left on his contract, Chelsea value him at close to €20 million and at the minute, the loan deal is not considered at this moment in time, unless there’s a strategic renewal to protect them.

Whether AC Milan will pay that is not mentioned, but it seems their interest in Tiemoue has been reinvigorated, and that may be something that develops in the coming weeks.
