Jose Mourinho handed £80m to complete January transfers

As per the Sun, Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho has been handed £80m fee to spend in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose continues to be strongly linked with a move to Man United, and it is believed that the Red Devils will be able to sign the England international for £45m next month.

Jose Mourinho is also still understood to be in the market for a new winger after failing to bring top target Ivan Perisic to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

The same sources also claim that the Red Devils boss met with club chiefs last week to discuss January plans, and the Special One was informed that he would have up to £80m to boost his squad at the start of 2018.

A number of players have also been tipped to leave Man United in January, with the futures of Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini all far from secure.

Manchester United will look to book their spot in the knockout stage of the Champions League when they host CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night, before welcoming Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
