Jurgen Klopp refused to rule out exit of attacking pair this summer

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi will both head for the exit door in the summer.

Neither forward has started a Premier League match for the Reds this season, with the Japanese being pushed further down the pecking order with the winter arrival of Luis Diaz.

The Belgian has been expected to depart as a free agent ahead of his contract expiring in June anyway, and the German manager has suggested that his side will be waving goodbye to both stars at the end of the campaign.

“It is crazy because we still have Divock and Taki on top of that. It is incredibly hard for him and for me as well because it is really tough these kind of things. Taki is in an incredible moment,” Jurgen told Sky Sports News.

“It is unlikely with the size of the squad that we now stay exactly like this together. For sure, some of the players do not play often enough for their own understanding and we will see what will come in the summer and find solutions for those situations. But the core of the group has to stay together. There is no doubt about that.”
