Juventus have allegedly joined Manchester United and Liverpool in the transfer race for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez.
He has enjoyed another impressive season at Premier League level, matching his 13-goal tally from 2018-19 with nine matches of this season to play.
The Reds and the Red Devils are said to be among the English clubs tracking Raul, who is valued at £57 million by Wolves, and an Italian newspaper Tuttosport suggests that Bianconeri are also in the hunt for his signature.
Juve are said to have been closing in on the signing of Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, but the same report indicates that the Italian club consider Jimenez as a better option to partner Cristiano Ronaldo up top.
He could be a fine fit for the Anfield outfit, even though they are not exactly desperate for more options in attack because of already having arguably the best front three in the world.
Jurgen Klopp arguably lacks depth behind Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, however, so the North American could be a useful option to rotate with his first choice attackers.
Meantime, Liverpool could announce the landing of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in “August or September”, the German football expert Raphael Honigstein said.
“I think he’s waiting for things to fall into shape and it could be that the transfer window is much later than usual,” Raphael told BT Sport.
“This kind of deal would have been announced in April/May, this time it could be August or September, but I still think there’s a very strong chance he’ll end up at Liverpool.”
