Juventus boosted in their pursuit of 6 ft 3 Arsenal centre-back

Arsenal are allegedly considering offloading defender Gabriel Magalhaes as Juventus target a possible summer move.

The Brazilian has been a key player for his side since he made the move to the Gunners from Lille two years ago for £27 million.

Magalhaes has formed a brilliant partnership with the English star Ben White having appeared in 33 Premier League matches.

No other centre-half in the top-flight has netted more than the 24-year-old’s four goals this season.

But in a surprise report, it has been stated that the North London side are willing to part company with the player.

Italian media claimed earlier this month that I Bianconeri were lining up a summer offer.

It was even said that the Old Lady are willing to offer Mikel Arteta’s side long-term target Arthur in any possible deal.

Now, according to Tuttosport, they are stepping up their pursuit of the South American as they desperately look to land another centre-back.

They add that while the Serie A giants are aware the Londoners will demand a hefty sum for him, they’re warming to the idea of cashing in on him.

But it remains to be seen whether they’ll press ahead with a summer move as Gabriel is said to be happy at the Emirates.
