Juventus set to hijack Liverpool move for 23-year-old stopper

Juventus and Liverpool will send scouts to Trabzon watch Trabzonspor shot-stopper Ugurcan Cakir in action against Galatasaray. The Premier League side have been linked with Turkey international in recent months, with claims they could come in for him next summer. Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster the squad during the summer transfer window.

It’s reported that along with Reds and Bianconeri, two other unnamed major European teams will also be present at the Akyazi Senol Gunes Stadium. Ugurcan has been impressing with his performances this campaign and his form has led to speculation he could get a transfer soon.

Cakir has also linked with a move to German club RB Leipzig, and it’s reported the Trabzonspor board are expecting official offers for their prized asset during the winter transfer window. The 23-year-old goalkeeper has played 18 games for Trabzonspor in all tournaments this campaign and is under deal with the Super Lig club until June 2024.

Turkish goalkeeper is contracted with Trabzonspor until 2024, and his release clause is around €20m. He is a regular member of the national team squad which is already a big achievement for the shot-stopper.
