Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez is reportedly open to the idea of making surprise return to Liverpool this summer.
The 34-year-old joined La Liga giants, from Barcelona last September and has been in fine form for the capital giants this season, founding back of the net 19 times in 32 games in all competitions.
Suarez’s current deal at Wanda Metropolitano is set to expire next June, though, and a recent report suggested that the Merseyside Reds want to re-sign the Uruguay international in the transfer market.
According to TodoFichajes, the experienced forward has a ‘tough’ relationship with Atletico head-coach Diego Simeone and has become ‘physically drained’ with the Argentine’s style of football.
As a result, the report suggests that Luis Suarez would entertain talks with Liverpool in the summer, although Inter Miami are also believed to be keen to bring him to the MLS.
The South American has found back of the net 82 times in 133 games for the Merseyside Reds between 2011 and 2014 before leaving for Barca, where he spent six campaigns.
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers’s Pedro Neto has reportedly emerged as a summer target for Liverpool n the attack as an alternative to long-term interests Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho, but would still cost at least £50 million.
The 21-year-old star has been one of the few bright sparks in a disappointing campaign for Wolves, scoring five goals and registering five assists in 29 Premier League appearances.
