Emerson Palmieri has revealed that he will consider exit from Chelsea when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 26-year-old was heavily linked with a switch away from the West London club over the summer, however, the deadline passed with Italy international full-back still at Stamford Bridge.

Emerson has been restricted to just four appearances this term at Chelsea, though, and has not played a single minute in the English top-tier in the 2020-21 season.

Speaking on international duty with Italy, former AS Roma defender has dropped a hint that he could depart from Frank Lampard’s side in January in order to search of more first-team football.

“Here at the national team I play, I have fun and I’m fine,” Calciomercato quotes Emerson as saying.

“The coach told me that the best solution for me is to play, at Chelsea or in another team, let’s wait for the next two months and see what will happen.”

Inter Milan are allegedly interested in securing the services of Emerson during the winter transfer window, while his former club AS Roma are also interested to lure him back at Stadio Olimpico.
