Liverpool experienced midfielder James Milner has said that he would be open to make a return to Championship outfits Leeds United when his current contract with the Merseyside Reds expires..
The 33-year-old’s current deal with Liverpool expires at the end of the current campaign and he is yet to be offered fresh contract, leading him to consider his options.
Speaking to The Sportsman, the ex-Aston Villa midfielder said: “I’m open to anything.
“I’d be interested in going abroad and experiencing a new league, a new style of football, new lifestyle, too, but that all just depends on where it is and also on my family too.
“At the moment I’m a Champions League winner with Liverpool and this year we’re really going for the Premier League, but I don’t know what the future will hold.
“It would be amazing to play for Leeds again but no-one from the club has ever contacted me about that.”
The former Man City midfielder has managed to found back of the net five times in 54 games for Leeds between 2002 and 2004 before making the transfer to Newcastle United.
