Liverpool and Arsenal are competing for the services of Club Brugge centre-forward Cyril Ngonge.
The 18-year-old’s form in the Champions Youth League – which has seen him net four goals in as many games – is believed to have attracted interest from many clubs across Europe.
The Mirror suggests that Premier League pair are among the clubs to have sent scouts to watch the youngster in action this term.
However, they face stiff competition for his services with Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Inter Milan and Lille also thought to be tracking the striker’s development, while Brugge are willing to keep him.
Cyril Ngonge is considered one of Belgium’s brightest prospects and has represented his country at Under-19 level and is frequently compared to Romelu Lukaku.
It remains to be seen if either of Premier League giants will make a move for the teenager as both sides are well-equipped at that position but both would be keen on adding Cyril Ngonge to their academy.
Meanwhile, Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has been out of form, while England international Daniel Sturridge has been a revelation for the Reds several times already.
