Liverpool and Real Madrid eyeing move for box-to-box Serie A midfielder

Liverpool and Real Madrid are reportedly set to challenge each other for the services of Inter box-to-box midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The Nerazzurri are in fine form at this moment keeping toe to toe with reigning Serie A defending champions, Juventus, however, the lure of one of Europe’s elite could temp him to depart from San Siro.

This rumour comes from TransferMarketWeb, and they claim that Croatia international midfielder rapidly reducing contract could force Serie A giants to cash in on his signature this summer.

The Italian giants have just secured the services of Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen to their ranks – this move could lessen the blow should Brozovic departs from the squad.

At the heart of their midfield this campaign, the 27-year-old midfielder has been one of the main reasons for Antonio Conte’s side to be in the mixt to remain to fight for the Serie A trophy.

Brzovic’s national teammate Dejan Lovren could have a word with his international team-mate joining the Merseyside Reds.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also keen on to strengthen their midfield options, as Luka Modric is expected to depart from the club after the end of the current campaign.

Brozovic would cost the Merseyside Reds somewhere in the region of £25-30million, however, his current deal could force Inter Milan into accepting a lower offer.
