Tottenham and Liverpool have reportedly identified Aston Villa star Ezri Konsa as a potential transfer target this summer.
The 23-year-old defender has established himself as a vital man at Villa Park, playing 45 games in the English top-tier since his arrival in July 2019.
While the defender is yet to break into the England setup, it appears that at least two English heavyweights are keeping close tabs on his development.
According to The Athletic, the Merseyside Red and the Spurs are contemplating whether to launch a bid for Konsa when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.
Liverpool have made frequent changes in their back line this term following to injuries of Joe Gomez Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip, while Spurs have looked more open at the back as the season has progressed.
Konsa’s deal is due to expire in 2023, a situation which is likely to lead to Villa instigating talks over a renewal in the near future.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa another star Jack Grealish has been rumoured with a departure from the club as Man Utd still desperately chasing for his signature in order to strengthen their midfield options.
