Liverpool are confident of finalising a deal for Ajax wonderkid Ki-Jana Hoever, according to reports.
Dutch starlet is yet to make his first-team debut for Ajax, however, the 16-year-old full-back who can operate at the centre-back position is also is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Europe.
Man Utd and Chelsea have all registered strong interest in Hoever however, it’s believed that the highly-rated full-back is set to join Liverpool.
Goal reported that the youngster will join up with the Reds academy ahead of the 2018/19 season after he turned down the advances of several other teams.
While Hoever will first play with the Under-18 team, the 16-year-old defender is expected to progress to the Under-23s side in the nearby future.
Ajax have been desperate to tie Hoever down on a new deal, however, the teenager dreams ot play in the Premier League and Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd set to lock horns over his signature.
Liverpool finalised the signing of England Under-17 starlet Bobby Duncan, Naby Keita and Fabinho to their ranks this summer.
Chelsea yet to make signing thus far following the uncertainty of managerial situation at the club.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have finalised the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Fred and Porto’s defender Diogo Dalot.
