Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing the services of Lazio forward Joaquin Correa this summer transfer market.
The 26-year-old attacker has again been a vital player for his Italian team this season, playing 31 games in all competitions, founding back of the net six times and providing five assists in the process.
Correa has a deal with Lazio until the summer of 2024, however, there is believed to be a £80m release clause in his current contract at Stadio Olimpico.
According to Il Messaggero, the Merseyside Reds have approached I Biancocelesti to enquire over a move for the forward when the transfer window will be re-oepened in the summer.
The report suggests that Lazio’s financial problems mean that the Argentina international could be available for around £40m ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Correa has managed to found back of the net 25 goals and provided 17 assists in 110 games for his Italian team since arriving from Sevilla in the summer of 2018.
Meanwhile, Lazio could lose their another star player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who has been rumoured with a possible switch to Liverpool’s arch-rivals Manchester United.
