Liverpool have reportedly been informed that La Lgia giants, Barcelona midfield star Pedri is available for £70m this summer.
The recently-capped Spain international has been touted as a surprise target for the defending Premier League champions.
Barca are eager to keep hold of the 18-year-old midfielder who has played 44 games in all competitions this term.
However, The Mirror claims that Pedri has a £70m release clause in his current deal and Liverpool could active it in the summer.
The Spanish giants intend to offer the teenager a new contract to remove that clause, but that will not be before the next transfer window.
Pedri’s current contract at Camp Nou set to expire in 2022, meaning that he could depart from the club as a free agent in a little over a year’s time if the Catalan giants fail to tie down him with a new long-term deal.
Meanwhile, Liverpool reportedly offered Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum to German giants Bayern Munich recently, according to AZ.
The Merseyside Reds midfielder is set to leave club for free as his current contract set to expire in the summer, should an extended contract fail to materialise, with La Liga giants Barcelona believed to be leading the race for the 30-year-old humidifier’s signature.
“In the summer, something should happen in the central midfield at Bayern to relieve Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka,” as appeared in the publication’s transfer news blog.
“As the AZ found out exclusively, Georginio “Gini” Wijnaldum was recently offered to Bayern by Liverpool FC.
