Liverpool eyeing move for German playmaker valued at €40m

Liverpool are reportedly among the teams that are keeping tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach star Florian Neuhaus, who could be available for €40m.

As per kicker, the German faces an uncertain future at the Bundesliga club in spite of his excellent relationship with sporting director Max Eberl.

The star himself is valued by the club, but with Marco Rose’s long-term future in doubt amid links with Borussia Dortmund, a transfer away from Borussia Park could be on the horizon for the talent.

Borussia Dortmund, in fact, are aiming to poach not only Rose but also Florian in the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga side are notably joined by Liverpool, who have also been mentioned with another Gladbach midfielder in Denis Zakaria.

It is said that Neuhaus could be available for as low as €40m despite his long-term deal at the club.

Neuhaus’ impressive displays in the Bundesliga have even earned him three caps for his country’s national team so far.

And it will not be surprising to see him become a part of Germany’s European Championship squad in the summer.

The Eeds are well aware of the fact that a positive season for Neuhaus in this year’s Euro could skyrocket the player’s valuation.

Hence, they are interested in securing an early deal with Jurgen Klopp seemingly desperate to strengthen his options in the middle of the park.

For the Reds, Florian could be an ideal alternative for Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara, neither of whom have quite lived up to the expectations since signing from the Bundesliga, although it is still early days for the Spaniard.
