Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly leading a four-team race to secure the services of Norwich City midfield star Todd Cantwell.
The 21-year-old playmaker impressed for Daniel Farke’s side this campaign and is expected to stay in the English top-tier if the Canaries will be relegated from the team.
Norwich currently sit rock bottom of the pile, but Cantwell has managed to found back of the net six times and provide two assists in that time.
According to The Athletic, the Merseyside Reds boss has taken a liking to Cantwell, who has played the full 90 minutes as Jurgen Klopp’s side claimed a 1-0 win at Carrow Road on Saturday evening.
However, the Merseyside Reds would reportedly face heavy competition for his services, with the Citizens Manchester United and the Spurs are also believed to be interested in the 21-year-old, who has played one game for the England Under-21s.
Cantwell has a deal with the Canaries until 2022, and Farke’s team are prepared to ask for £30m for the talented Englishman.
Liverpool also eyeing a move for another English playmaker James Maddison who has been also rumoured with a switch to the Reds direct PL rivals Manchester United.
