Liverpool handed boost in their pursuit of 25-year-old PL star

Liverpool target Ryan Fraser has revealed he is a “loner” at Bournemouth after best friend Marc Pugh left to join Queens Park Rangers.

Winger Fraser has been connected with a switch to the leade leaders Reds as manager Jurgen Klopp considers adding depth to his attacking troops – with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah already boasted at Anfield.

Arsenal and Everton have also been rumoured to be keen, with the Scotland international out of contract at the club at the end of the season.

And Fraser, who has not shown any signs of putting ink on a new deal on the south coast, has revealed that he has become less content at the Vitality Stadium after watching his best mate depart.

“He’s my best mate off the pitch so to see him go on loan (to Hull last season) was hard,” Ryan told the Bournemouth Echo.

“I was obviously back to being a loner again! Pughie is Pughie. You can’t say a bad word about Pughie. He’s probably one of the nicest guys. Nath (Ake) is up there as well and then I’d say myself maybe third!

“There’s no bad word to say about Pughie. His professionalism, on the pitch he’ll give everything but off the pitch he’s the best family man I’ve seen.”

In other news, Liverpool have been handed a welcome piece of information as the Swiss forward Xherdan Shaqiri has returned to full training after his recent injury lay off. All Rights Reserved 2019
