Man Utd forawrd Anthony Martial could reportedly be fit for their trip to Liverpool this weekend despite pulling up with a hamstring issue in a match on Sunday.
The 25-year-old was replaced in the latter stages of his team’s 1-0 victory at Burnley, having seemingly pulled his hamstring.
The Frenchman emerged as a huge doubt for the clash at Anfield in the immediate aftermath of the win, however, according to the Daily Mail, the injury is not as bad as first feared.
As a result, the report suggests that Martial will be given ‘as much time as possible’ to prove his fitness, with the Red Devils preparing to make a further assessment on Thursday morning.
The attacker has managed to found back of the net five times and provided seven assists in 21 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side during the 2020-21 season.
The 20-times English champions are currently top of the Premier League table, three points clear of second-placed Liverpool ahead of Sunday’s game between the bitter rivals.
Liverpool will be without their first-team stars, Diego Jota, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk as the last two will be out for the rest of the season.
