Liverpool handed massive blow in their pursuit for 23-year-old Polish forward

Liverpool will not sign Serie A outfits Genoa forward Krzysztof Piątek during the January transfer window, with the club’s director ruling out any chance of his exit.

Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed that Genoa will not be forced into a sale of 23-year-old forward despite his stunning form.

Perinetti was speaking to Radio Sportiva, as reported by David Amoyal on Twitter.

“We should absolutely exclude [the] possibility of Piatek being sold in January. He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters & set his valuation now.”

Polish forward is attracting a wealth of interest following his stunning start in the Serie A.

The Pole has found back of the net nine times in eight league appearances this campaign and is being dubbed as ‘the next Robert Lewandowski.’

The Merseyside Reds are among the interested parties, while Napoli, Barcelona, Bayern and Juventus have all been rumoured with the forward in recent weeks.

It is reported that the Italians were demanding around €40 million for the polish forwards services, however, they are hoping to keep hold of him until the summer at least
