Barcelona’s chiefs have discussed the prospect of selling their star Luis Suarez this summer, according to Spanish media sources.
The newly crowned La Liga champions are expected to finalise the transfer of Antoine Griezmann this summer by activating his release clause.
Griezmann signed a new deal shortly after his failed move to Man Utd last summer, and his release clause has been reduced to €100m (£87m) from €200m.
And according to Catalunya Radio, if Spanish champions complete the signing of France international forward, Suarez could leave the Nou Camp.
The news will alert Liverpool as reports earlier in January stated that Jurgen Klopp is considering to lure Uruguayan forward at Anfield.
The report claims that the Catalan giant’s board members have already floated the idea of Suarez’s exit, providing they receive a good enough offer.
Barcelona have paid £65m to sign Uruguay international forward from Liverpool back in 2014.
And during his time at Camp Nou, Suarez has won 11 trophies.
This term Suarez has been in stunning form scoring 24-goals in 31 La Lia games while providing ten assists in the process.
Speaking about Atletico Madrid star last week, Suarez admitted he would welcome Griezmann’s arrival.
‘It makes the club proud to bring players of this quality like Antoine, like [Ousmane] Dembele and [Philippe] Coutinho came,’ the former Liverpool striker told Spanish station Radio Rincon
