Liverpool are keen on signing Red Bull Salzburg prodigy Luka Sucic, according to German publication Sport Bild.

The Anfield side have developed a penchant for landing players with ties to the Red Bull franchise in the latest years, signing Takumi Minamino, Naby Keita and Sadio Mane before Ibrahima Konate purchased from RB Leipzig.

Now as soon-to-be new sporting director Julian Ward and boss Jurgen Klopp set about rejuvenating the current squad, Luka Sucic could be on the radar.

As per the same report, the Reds could view 19-year-old Croatian as the ‘ideal candidate’ to strengthen their midfield.

In spite of the impending arrival of Fulham sensation Fabio Carvalho, it’s stated that there is a need for more reinforcements in the summer transfer market as Thiago and Jordan Henderson both hit 31 this year.

Furthermore, it is said that Serie A AC Milan and Juventus have also declared an interest in the Croatia youth international.

Recent recruits such as Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, Bobby Clark and Kaide Gordon have underpinned a resolve to secure the future success of the Reds whilst still taking park at the top table in the present.

So far this term, Sucic has scored seven goals and provided three assists from 37 outings across all competitions.
