Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus as a possible transfer target for next year, amidst the star being linked with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
The 23-year-old German has earned a place on multiple European giants’ transfer wish lists with his displays for the Bundesliga side.
Premier League clubs the Reds, Spurs and the Citizens have been credited with an interest in Florian, who has a release clause of €40 million in his contract with the German outfit.
Bundesliga outfits Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have also been mooted as potential destinations this summer for the Germany international.
However, according to German publication Bild, Die Roten are eyeing him as a potential transfer target for 2022.
Although the Bavarians see the player as an option to strengthen their roster next year, it is unclear whether they’ll change their stance because of increased interest from other clubs.
The Reds do have a strong midfield and purchased Thiago only in the summer of 2020. However, reported interest in Florian suggests that he could be a replacement for outgoing Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman is out of contract at the Premier League club at the end of the season, and with no fresh deal in place, it is looking likely that the 30-year-old star will depart in the summer of 2021.
He is a very good midfielder who drives forward and net goals – he has found the back of the net twice in the division this season and scored four times in the 2019-20 season and Florian could replace him in the team with success.
