Liverpool in pole position to sign 19-year-old Bundesliga striker

The Merseyside giants are leading Barcelona in the battle to add Karim Adeyemi. The German tactician is constantly tracking the progress of the RB Salzburg striker and is weighing up a move in the next transfer window as they look to continue their hunt for attacking footballers.

The Blaugrana are the other team interested in the services of Germany international, while two Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, are tracking the teenager as well.

But the report makes clear that the Reds are in pole position, and a possible move to Liverpool could be on the cards for the 19-year-old striker in the upcoming winter transfer window. Liverpool have experience of doing business with RB Salzburg, having secured the services of Takumi Minamino last year.

Both Naby Keita and Sadio Mane are ex-Salzburg graduates as well, and it is apparent that footballers stemming from the Red Bull brand of football tend to fit in easily with Jurgen Klopp’s tactical philosophy at Anfield. The German coach is hoping to have similar success with Karim.

Adeyemi has already turned many heads with his blazing displays in the Austrian Bundesliga, notably netting six goals in seven games in the ongoing season. After Erling Haaland, Hwang hee-Chan and Patson Daka, the ex-Bayern footballer is tipped to become the next attacking sensation to come out of RB Salzburg.
