Liverpool are reportedly one of some European teams interested in signing Trabzonspor forward Yusuf Yazici.

Turkish outlet Fanatik reports that the 20-year-old is currently rated around £12.3million.

The report claims that the Reds face a battle from Premier League rivals Manchester United, who are also keeping tabs on the youngster, alongside Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and French champions AS Monaco.

The youngster broke into the Trabzonspor first-team two years ago. He made an immediate impact, contributing with two goals and three assists in only nine appearances.

The forward managed to retain his place in the side, and he enjoyed a wonderful campaign last season, scored six goals and collected an impressive tally of ten assists in all competitions.

At such a young age, he has demonstrated that he can perform on a consistent basis in a team.

The youngster’s performances saw him called up to the Turkey national squad last summer. He produced an assist in the 4-1 win against Kosovo.

Although Yazici has the potential to become a decent talent in the near-future, Liverpool must surely be concentrating on other areas in the squad.
