According to the Spanish publication Don Balon, Liverpool are considering a shock transfer move for Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez this summer, as Jurgen Klopp’s side are the latest club to be linked with a move for out-of-favour attacking midfielder.
The same sources claim that 25-year-old South American will leave La Liga this summer and Jurgen Klopp is considering making a bid for the Colombia international.
It is believed that that £52m offer will need to spend big in order to land his signature, but the Merseyside giants will face competition from Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan.
Meanwhile, the Reds are preparing to hold negotiations with the representatives of Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette over the availability of the Frenchman in the summer.
The 26-year-old Lacazette has managed to score 129 goals in 275 appearances for the League 1 giants since breaking into the first-team back in 2010 but is being strongly linked with a transfer move to the Premier League ahead of the 2017/18 season.
It is believed that other EPL giants Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in Lacazette but the reports claim that Jurgen Klopp is also in the race to sign the highly-rated France international.
