Liverpool linked with shock move for 33-year-old world-class veteran

Jurgen Klopp planning to make a bid for former Liverpool star Javier Mascherano, according to the reports from Spain.

Argentinian defender has left the Anfield back in 2010 and after seven years to Nou Camp, he has once again being linked with a return to his former club.

Argentina international star has two years left on his current deal with the Spanish giants but following his lack of first-team football Mascherano considering a move to elsewhere.

According to a report in Diario Gol, former Liverpool star has already three offers on the table, including one from the Merseyside Reds, where he made almost 100 Premier League appearances in three years at Anfield.

The publication claims that 33-year-old’s international teammate Lionel Messi “is convinced that he’s already made his mind up to go” and that he will seek a move out next summer, with Barcelona ready to allow Argentinian star to leave for free.

The Merseyside Reds are allegedly joined in their pursuit of Argentinan star by big-spending Paris Saint-Germain and Italian champions Juventus are also in the market for his signature.
