Leicester City star Youri Tielemans is ‘keeping his options open’ with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and their Premier League rivals Manchester United among the clubs monitoring the Belgium international.
The Foxes are interested in tying the 24-year-old down to a new deal with his current contract set to expire in June 2023.
While a new proposal has reportedly been made, Youri is in no rush to commit his long-term future to Leicester.
During the summer transfer market, the former Monaco and Anderlecht ace was strongly linked with the Reds as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Red Devils have also been touted with keen interest, with the midfielder tipped as a possible replacement for the France international Paul Pogba should the Frenchman not sign a contract extension at Old Trafford.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Tielemans suggested he could depart the King Power Stadium if the reasonable offer comes in – but says no decision has been made yet.
‘There’s no update really. I’m open to everything. The transfer market has just closed, but I want to keep as many options as I can open,’ Youri said.
‘As long as I’m here I will give everything for the club. I’ve already done so, but I will do so even more.
‘The contract situation is just something that is going on in football, it’s a normal situation.
‘There are talks going on – I’m not saying I’m going to sign, I’m not saying I’m not going to sign. We will see.’
