La Liga club Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to sell the highly-rated playmaker Martin Odegaard following his stunning start to the new campaign.

According to a recent report by ESPN, as cited on Calcimercato, the Spanish heavyweights could be tempted to cash in on the Norwegian sensation.

Odegaard has started the campaign in fantastic form, resulting in interest from the elite European clubs, including Premier League teams: Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

It may surprise some fans and even Liverpool to learn that Martin could be available in the coming months. After a stunning start to the term in La Liga, it appeared that he’d still have a place in Real Madrid’s long-term plans.

However, after hearing that the player could be sold, Liverpool may want to change their transfer stance. Any deal to land Odegaard would be a big risk, purely from the lack of senior football he has played in the latest years.

However, if Los Blancos board are demanding a reasonable sum for his services, this could just be a risk worth taking. The best is yet to come from Martin, who will only continue to improve as Odegaard gets more playing time under his belt.

The Anfield outfit need to add some creativity to their midfield and the 20-year-old attacking midfielder is showing plenty of promise. If the price is right, the German coach Jurgen Klopp’s side should consider getting a deal done.
