A recent report from Dutch source Voetbal 24 says Belgian sensation Jeremy Doku could be ‘on his way’ to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool this summer.

The Rennes forward impressed at UEFA Euro 2020 under Roberto Martinez, featuring twice against Italy and Finland. Now, Liverpool are interested, but the French outfit want as much as £38 million.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for 19-year-old Jeremy for while, stretching back to his time at Belgian outfit Anderlecht.

He joined Les Rouge et Noir after having a hand in 13 goals from 37 matches. His form at Roazhon Park last season, was questionable.

Just two goals and four assists came in 37 outings for his team. But that has not deterred manager Jurgen Klopp, with the German tactician impressed by his form at European Championship.

The report adds that he could be ‘on his way’ to Merseyside, but the club would have to fork out £38 million to convince Rennes.

Xherdan Shaqiri is the subject of a proposal from French side Lyon, with the Anfield outfit expected to sell him for around £13 million.

Liverpool would need to replace with him a wide attacker who is young, and for the future of the club.
