Liverpool on the verge to agree deal for £53m-rated forward

Liverpool have been strongly rumoured with securing the services of German international forward Timo Werner and the latest update coming from Spain is highly positive.

Back in February, Simon Hughes covered a report for The Athletic and claimed that the German is waiting on a move to Anfield.

Last month, the renowned journalist claimed that the RB Leipzig forward really wants to make the switch to the Reds in the summer.

Now, as per the latest reports coming from Spain (Sport), it is suggested that £53million star is on the verge to securing Liverpool move.

The famous news outlet have mentioned that Serie A giants Inter Milan’s forward striker Lautaro Martinez is strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and the Nerazzurri want to be prepared in case the Argentine attacker leaves the team in the summer.

The Spanish source suggests that the Italian giants have almost secured Olivier Giroud, however, they have also looked at other options. It is stated that the Serie A club have probed Werner and Aubameyang.

The 24-year-old striker has been in stunning form for RB Leipzig this campaign. In all competitions, he has so far played 36 games and has managed to found back of the net 27 times and provided 12 assists.

He has played 29 games for his country thus far under the guidance of Joachim Low and found back of the net 11 times.
