It has recently been claimed by Spanish media source Fichajes that Liverpool is a possible destination for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix during the upcoming January transfer market, alongside Italian clubs Inter Milan and Juventus, on an initial loan deal.

Felix joined for Los Rojiblancos back in the 2019 summer transfer market from the Primeira Liga giants Benfica for a massive £113 million transfer fee.

Since then, the 21-year-old forward, who is currently rated at £72 million by Transfermarkt, has featured 81 times for the La Liga champions in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and grabbing nine assists along the way.

He won the 2019 Golden Boy award, beating the likes of Kai Havertz, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland and securing his status as one of the continent’s best youngsters.

In terms of a potential transfer to Liverpool in January, if the Merseyside outfit are willing to take the layer on loan in January with a possible permanent move on the cards further down the line, Joao could be a good investment for the Anfield outfit based on his young age and the experience the sensation has under his belt playing in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
