Liverpool have allegedly retained an interest in Torino star Gleison Bremer but have been joined in keeping a close eye on the Brazilian defender by both Manchester clubs.
The 24-year-old was strongly linked with the Reds last campaign as the then-champions were in the midst of an unprecedented defensive crisis.
However, Jurgen Klopp moved for Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies and Bremer stayed in Turin, but Italian source Calciomercato report that he won’t sign a new contract at the Serie A outfit and so they could look to sell this term.
The report details that the South American’s deal at Torino expires in June 2023, so the side would have to sell next year in order to attract a sum.
However, Liverpool haven’t got all of their centre-halves fully fit, following the return of Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk from injuries.
The report also says though that both Manchester City and United are keeping tabs on the highly-regarded Bremer’s situation in Italy.
A deal in the January transfer market would allegedly cost in the region of between £17 million and £25 million.
Bremer signed for Torino on a five-year contract back in 2018 from the Brazilian Serie A outfit Atletico Mineiro.
