Stoke City goalkeeper, Jack Butland is ready to turn down Arsenal interest in favour of Liverpool move this summer, according to the reports.
Petr Cech’s form has forced the Gunners to reconsider their options ahead of the new 2018/19 season with David Ospina is set to leave the club after the end of the current campaign as well.
Jurgen Klopp has recently placed his faith in his compatriot, Loris Karius, however, the Mirror reported that the German manager believed Jack Butland would represent an upgrade on his goalkeeper option.
Earlier this week reports suggested that Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet had switched agents with a view to leaving the Anfield after the end of the current campaign.
Stoke are believed to losing their No.1 stopper but believe they can earn around £40million for his signature.
Butland is believed to be aware of the Gunners interest, however, the prospect of working with Klopp is likely to heavily influence his decision for the upcoming transfer window.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal are still in the market for offensive reinforcements and keeping tabs on Thoms Lemar who is believed to be on his way out from AS Monaco this summer.
