Liverpool have reportedly planning to make £22.5m offer for Turkish giants Trabzonspor stopper Ugurcan Cakir.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a switch to the English top-tier in recent weeks, and the goalkeeper’s ex-coach recently suggested that the Merseyside Reds were in pole position to secure his services.
According to Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler, the Premier League giants have now made an offer for 24-year-old stopper as they attempt to sign him during the upcoming transfer window.
“I’ve made some calls with my Trabzonspor sources. I can confirm that Liverpool have made a bid for Ugurcan Cakir, which is worth €25m (£22.5m),” Celikler told VOLE’s Youtube channel.
Cakir has been capped twice by the Turkish national side – has played 33 games for Trabzonspor during the 2019-20 season, conceding 39 times in during his time at the club.
Tottenham Hotspur have also recently been credited with a strong interest in Turkish keeper as well. as Jose Mourinho considers him as a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly been handed a huge boost in their hopes of securing the services of Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan in the summer.
The Merseyside Reds are believed to have identified the 27-year-old playmaker as a potential transfer target when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer, however, Inter Milan are keen to keep him at San Siro.
Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that the Nerazzurri have offered Croatian playmaker a new deal, however, are currently short of the playmaker’s wage demands.
