La Liga outfits Real Betis are allegedly the favourites to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.
During the January transfer window, the Catalan giants have signed Palmeiras centre-back in order to strengthen their defensive end however, Colombian star now is expected to leave the Nou Camp on a season-long loan deal.
The report from Spanish source Sport adds that Jurgen Klopp wants to bring Colombian defender at Anfield, however, will be beaten to the signing by Real Betis.
La Liga outfits sporting vice-president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer is believed to have a good relationship with the Catalan’s general manager Pep Segura and plans to use it to get the deal done for 23-year-old centre-back.
The Spanish giants are reportedly close to the signing of Gremio midfielder Arthur, which will allow Mina to leave the team due to restrictions on the number of non-EU players in the team.
Liverpool are in need of a new centre-back and Mina was believed to be on top of their wishlist and now Jurgen Klopp has to look elsewhere to strengthen their defensive options.
