Every season, when the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior is held in Brazil, several European clubs go and watch the many Under-20 talents who are starting to shine in the country.
One of the big outfits who are featuring in the competition this year is Endrick de Sousa, a 15-year-old forward from Palmeiras who netted two goals in their first match and has already drawn the world’s attention.
And according to a report from Brazil, multiple teams have already got in touch for the player’s signing, including Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Manchester City.
Yahoo’s Jorge Nicola writes that the Reds and the Citizens made contact with the sensation’s staff and show their interest.
It seems the approach from interested parties are still in the early stages, as there is no information on any real attempt from the aforementioned giants to sign the ace, who had 165 goals in 169 outings at the academy.
Since the frontman is only 15, Endrick still does not have a professional contract with the Allianz Parque outfit.
So according to Jorge, to land him from Alviverde now, the interested side would need to pay 200 times what Abel Ferreira’s side spent on financial help, accommodation, training, health and study.
