Liverpool could reportedly plan to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz as they search for a long-term replacement for Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.
Former Hoffenheim man has again been a key player for the Merseyside Reds during the 2019-20 season, however, the Brazilian forward will be 29 later this year and has only found back of the net eight times this campaign.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Kai Havertz could be targeted by Liverpool as they look to secure services of another deep centre-forward in the upcoming transfer window.
The 20-year-old playmaker has managed to found back of the net 12 times for the current campaign when he has scored twice in Bayer Leverkusen’s 4-1 victory over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Monday night.
Barcelona and Man Utd are also believed to be fans of the forward, who has scored once in seven games for the German national team.
Havertz’s current contract at Leverkusen is set to expire in the summer of 2022.
Meanwhile, Ligue 1 outfits Lille forward Victor Osimhen is reportedly keen to make a summer move to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has been in stunning form for his French club this campaign, scoring 18 goals in 38 games in all competitions.
A number of teams, including the Merseyside Reds, are believed to be interested in securing the services of the Nigeria international forward, who has managed to found back of the net 13 times in Ligue 1 during the 2019-20 season that has been ended.
According to The Nation, Osimhen has already snubbed interest from the likes of Inter Milan as he favours to make a move to the Premier League team ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
