Serie A giants Atalanta BC and Napoli are reportedly both keen on securing the services of Sheffield United’s Sander Berge who has been rumoured with a switch to Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months
The 23-year-old midfielder has missed the majority of the 2020-21 season following injury, with the playmaker playing only 15 games for the Blades, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.
Berge is believed to be keen on leaving Bramall Lane this summer following Sheffield United’s relegation to the second tier, and both Liverpool and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in his services.
However, according to The Sun, there is also genuine interest from Italian giants in the shape of Atalanta and Napoli, with both teams preparing to make approaches for the Norwegian.
The report suggests that the Serie A pair want to secure the services of Berge on loan for the 2021-22 season before potentially acquiring him on a permanent basis for £30m next summer.
The 23-year-old star, who is allegedly not prepared to play in the Championship next campaign, is believed to have a £35m release clause in his current contract with the Blades.
