Liverpool are reportedly preparing to move for Leicester City playmaker Youri Tielemans ahead of Georginio Wijnaldum’s exit.
Dutch playmaker has confirmed that he will be on his way out of the team his deal expires next month, and the Dutchman is thought to have agreed on a three-year deal with Barcelona.
With Jurgen Klopp believed to prioritise a replacement for his one of the favourite players this summer, the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrigo de Paul and Renato Sanches have been rumoured with a move to Anfield.
Now, Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad suggests that the Foxes Tielemans has emerged as a potential transfer target, with the ex-Monaco man out of the deal in 2023.
However, Leicester’s Player of the Year is also believed to be on the radar of Barcelona and Man Utd and the Foxes – despite missing out on Champions League football once again – would not sanction a departure on the cheap.
Tielemans has managed to found the back of the net nine times and assisted six more in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign, including a stunning winner in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
