Liverpool have reportedly dropped their asking price for out-of-favour forward Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Switzerland international has only played on 10 occasions for Jurgen Klopp’s side during the 2019-20 season, and a recent report suggested that the Merseyside Reds were prepared to sell the 28-year-old forward this summer.

The Reds had initially valued the Swiss in the region of £28m, however, according to Calciomercato, the Premier League leaders have now made it clear that they would sell him around £18m.

CSKA Moscow, AS Roma and Sevilla are all believed to be interested in a deal for the forward, who has a deal at Anfield until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Shaqiri has managed to found back of the net seven times in 40 games for Liverpool in all competitions since making a move from Championship outfits Stoke City back in the summer of 2018.

The Merseyside Reds, though, will seemingly not be moving for Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho in the summer despite a host of transfer rumours.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly set to once again head-to-head with their arch-rival Liverpool and Real Madrid for securing the services of Lille striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

The 21-year-old forward enjoyed a stellar season for the French outfits during the 2019-20 campaign, founding back of the net 13 times in 27 Ligue 1 appearences.
